Two ways to build random teams

Method A — wheel of teams: leave the wheel set to Team 1 and Team 2 (add Team 3 etc. for more), then spin once per person to assign them.

Method B — wheel of names with auto-remove: switch to the name picker mode, paste your full roster, turn on Remove winner after spin in Settings, and alternate teams as each name comes up.

Why a wheel beats picking sides

Captains-picking-teams is brutal for the last person picked. A wheel removes social hierarchy from the draft — every assignment is purely random and visibly fair.

It is also fast. A roster of 20 can be drafted in under a minute with method B.

Tips for evenly sized teams

For exactly even teams, use method B and assign winners alternately to each team. The wheel does the random part; you do the alternation.

For three or more teams, rotate Team 1 → Team 2 → Team 3 → Team 1 as each name comes up. With 12 players you get three teams of four.
